Merry Meet to All;
When I was a child I used to speak to groups of faeries all the time, and as I grew up I never have spoken to any fae since, the faeries looked like how a "MidSommer Nights Dream" is thats how I remember them.
In my adult life I have seen faeries only slight glimpses of them, but I know that they exist because as an innocent child I used to talk to them often at dusk or in the early morning were the best times.
Who else has seen faeries or still has a special relationship with the fae, at the moment I am learning Elvish I love Quenya the Noble tougue of the High Elves, as I love all things faery and the water faery is my chinese good luck symbol.
Wishing all well may the Lady & Lord bless you all. :D
Brightest Of Blessings: LadyMeg )O(
Lady Meg: My father is Irish and proud of it. So I grew up on stories of the Wee People of Ireland, even though growing up in the US.
I have seen the Little People when I lived on the East Coast as a child. And since moving to the West Coast as an adult I have heard their strange chatter at night and have been a recieving end of their mischief, but I have not seen them, though I know people who have. And their discriptions are different then the ones I saw back East.
It appears to me that the Little People are different in different areas.... Different "tribes" in different eco-systems. The Little People of Cherokee stories are different then the Little People of Skokomish stories. That is not surprising to me since the topography, environment, weather patterns, food sources etc are very different.
