Wand Making

Merry Meet to All;
Below is a picture of a wand I made, I picked up a beautiful piece of driftwood off the beach, it was the perfect size for a Wand, added to that some length of copper wire, and some embroidered braiding and a Star shaped shell which I glued into the centre with a hot glue gun, also added beading of Amethyst and Hematite beads with feathers placed on the ends.
The Wand is so beautiful I also made the Pentacle by burning the pentacle into the wooden circle with a wood burner and I wanted to share it with you all, please tell us your stories of Wand making, or making tools for yourself????

Funny how what you need tends to just "wash up" at your feet!
My wand is pretty simple - a piece of eucalyptus that was cut from a tree in my in-laws' yard. I ran across it in the wood pile in the back, and it fit my hand just right.
I have another wand that a friend made for me. She used a small piece of wood, some fabric scraps, a crystal and several small stones. She wrapped the strips of fabric around the wood, leaving gaps in between, and glued the small stones to the fabric, one on each piece and in a straight line down the wand.
I've made a few wands as gifts, using carving, stones, wire, and dangly things as needed. For some reason, I've chosen to leave my own wands bare. Don't know why ~ it just suits me. :-)
