Norse, Germanic and Anglo-SaxonOut of practice Wiccan looking for help.Submitted by Army Kid on Fri, 08/05/2005 - 12:20pm.
Howdy folks! I have been Wiccan for the last 8 years and regretfully confess I haven't practiced the belief for approx. 3 of them. Now I come to the table in need of assistence and (gulp) help. My fiance' has a brother who for as long as he can remember has been "haunted" by visions and dreams influenced by a being that (from my understanding) calls itself "Archaos" (Ark-a-o-is). Walking in witches' footsteps near the North PoleSubmitted by Berkana on Wed, 09/01/2004 - 6:46am.
VARDOE, Norway (AFP) - Zigzagging down a steep moss-covered slope peppered with loose stones that could easily throw them off balance and fling them onto the jagged rocks below, the group makes its way to a large cave where witches once were thought to meet and dance with the devil. "Just imagine trying to do this in the dark, when the rain has made these stones slippery. No wonder witches needed broomsticks," says one of the women in the group that has gathered in the small town of Vardoe, just over 2,000 kilometers (1,250 miles) from the North Pole, for northern Norway's first ever witch conference.
